Hey guys, I have been pretty scarce lately but there has been a lot going on. I need some quick help tho. I am normally not the type to do this but Daisy and Sarge (beagles) need new homes!!! I do not trust people off Craigslist or Kijiji enough to just give them to someone from a post there. They have to be rehomed by the end of this month. I have been asking people I do trust and no one can take them right now. Sarge is my baby and a lover and Daisy is very hyper for attention and a big lover too. My mind is not where it should be right now to get them to a new SAFE home and I don't want to personally misplace them where they won't get what they need. On a positive note in all this I am going to be able to keep Bailey and Roscoe and Jason is going to keep Murphy and Copper. He won't take Daisy or Sarge and I am moving in with a friend and can only have the bassets because she has two labs already. That is an improvement tho because at first I was going to have to go to my moms and she didn't want me to bring any of them. I am reaching out and am desperate guys. If it were up to Jason he would just take them and drop them in the countryside somewhere. I am trying to pack and split our stuff and it's just too much for me to get them to good new homes. I love my babies and don't want to see them go anywhere but I just can't keep them. They are both utd on shots. These are our two who are not fixed tho because these are the two we ran for the field trials and UKC won't let you fix them. If you know someone who will love them or a rescue who can take them I need help!

Well for now they are still at the house. We live in the Indy area in Indiana. I just can't focus right now and make sure the house they go to is as proper as it needs to be for them but they are still my babies and I can't see them go somewhere bad or worry about them. I will always worry about them but if I know they are going thru a rescue i know the rescue will help get them to the most proper home. I am dying inside on so many levels right now. I just want them in good home where they are loved and cared for like they need to be. They are inside dogs and I can tell anyone what their faults and pluses are but I just can't trust to find them a good home by myself right now. We have to be out of the house by the end of the month.

Hi Mandi - sorry to hear you're having a bad time right now. I'll see if I can find anyone in your area that would be a good home for them... is there a local beagle rescue?

I have tried to get ahold of our local beagle rescue in the past and they never respond back to me. I HATE this. I never in my dreams thought I would be the one to be having to unload dogs. DAMN.

I don't work with any rescues in that area - but you might see if some of the all-breed rescues would do a courtesy posting for you. I'd also see if any of the groups have adoption events that they would let you attend. Sadly every resuce I know of is so full that they aren't taking any owner surrenders.

Did you try BREW Midwest? www.brewbeagles.orgIn OakLawn, Il - www.homelesshoundsrescue.com/RobDars 4 The Hounds. Maybe if one of the rescue folks here could contact them, there would be more of a chance for success. Do you know anybody that you've met running field trials that might want them? Can you get the word out to the group?

I am SO sorry you are having to go through this. Life has a way of throwing us those unexpected turns. I hope someone is able to give them a good home. Praying for you!

I did contact the president of the local club and told him I needed to rehome them so he is getting word out to the guys. I did get a call on Sunday afternoon that there is a guy locally who lost his 15 y/o beagles and buddy and would be interested if the dogs are fixed. My friend here at work found a local place that will do the surgery for $30 for each and I told the guy who is interested that I would come up with the money but he might actually have to take them for the surgery because I have so much going on with trying to split the house while packing and finding a new place to live so if everyone can keep their paws crossed they both might be rehomed together to a great person!!! This guy lets the dogs sleep in bed with him and they go everywhere with him and he walks them and plays with them and spoils beagles rotten!

I wanted to let you guys know that I found a home for Daisy and Sarge. It is going to be a great home. They will be indoor dogs and the guy is going to take them out and run in the trials with them again. He was so excited and said they were exactly what he was looking for and he couldn't wait to take them home and start getting them aquainted to the house and that I can some see them any time I want.
