This is Sophie. She is 6, and she is spayed, but her shots are not up-to-date. She has been diagnosed with glaucoma in her right eye, and her owner cannot afford the surgery she needs, so the owner wants to give her up. She is located in the DFW area. I volunteer with DFWHS, but we are totally full and low on funds (as is everyone, I suppose). I sent the owner info about Help for Helpless Animals, but it sounds like the dog will have to go no matter what. Attachments:

Can you ask her owner if she can hold onto her while we find rescue?

Can you ask her owner if she can hold onto her while we find rescue? I think she's willing to do that. She just doesn't want the dog to be in pain, and that will happen if Sophie doesn't get vet care soon.

There are drops she can get to help minimize the pain. I'd be happy to pay for them if that means she can keep the dog for a few weeks.

How sad. I hope she can find some help. Elvismom - very generous of you.
