Can anyone help me find a transport coordinator that would be willing to help get Sally and Schroeder to Michigan?
I just ticked one off. They wanted to charge a fee for transporting to a breeder. I asked why, just so I knew what the money was going for given the situation. I'm going to quote the answer from the email:

Since the breeder worked with Michigan Basset Rescue, you might have some contacts through them.

We've had a major change in plans the last 2 or 3 days.
The lady that took Cadbury/Sydney (Stacy pulled her from Dallas this time last year and I took her, had a bunch of tumors and cysts removed before she was adopted out) had enough room for S and S and offered to take them. This way they are going local, I'm meeting her halfway. And they are going there on Tuesday! Also helps that they liked Syd (who is now named Sophie and a big goof). So they are going to get to stay in the relative warmth of TX.

I am so very glad that you got some good news! How's everything else going with the move?

Horrible. This crap with the mortgage/housing market is a nightmare. Can't even find a rental.
